Not in my wildest dreams did I imagine that just seven months on from the publication of my first book, I would be announcing the second. Having been busy-as-a-bee in my kitchen these past few months, I am bursting to tell you that in response to your loud calls for more recipes, my very first cookery book, Cook. Nourish. Glow. (see, the perfect companion to sit snuggly next to Eat. Nourish. Glow. in your kitchen!), is on it’s way soon :-).
Such was the terrific response to Eat. Nourish. Glow. that I confess to having felt a little giddy for a while (like altitude sickness, I suppose, given the rapid ascent to bestseller). I’d like to offer my humble thanks, again, for buying and supporting the book; for shouting so fantastically loud about it; for letting me know that you are in your kitchens, preparing them for success, embracing grace around food, and nourishing yourselves with the recipes.
I had long felt the pull to write a book, spurned on by my clients, if only to help a few more – I never imagined it would be actively embraced by so many. It has reinforced my belief that with a little guidance, we are ALL capable of changing our relationship with food and to self-elect a healthier, happier, more energetic life for ourselves.
I’m happily beholden to share with you that the greatest feedback by a mile has been the request for more recipes. When I wrote Eat. Nourish. Glow., I had planned to give only a handful of supporting recipes. My core aim for the book was to motivate others with my 10 principles to a healthy life; there is already an abundance of terrifically healthy cookbooks (my shelves are heavy with them) and I hoped my book would lead you to these.
But hey! You’ve asked for recipes galore and I’m delighted to oblige. You’ve also quizzed me about what I eat, what I like to create in my own kitchen for myself, family and friends, and the dishes I cook with my clients? I’ve heard you loud and clear and I hope that Cook. Nourish. Glow. will be a welcome follow-up to my first book.
I don’t purport to be a professional chef/cook and I confess to finding the process of creating recipes often a difficult and frustrating challenge- my natural inclination is to be rather slap-dash in the kitchen, throwing foods together in a (sometimes comical) improvised, optimistic fashion. But I’ve learnt a great deal along the way and have developed a true love for cooking natural, nourishing food, initially by necessity but now through pure joy. But in ardent response to your calls for more, I’ve been busy in my kitchen creating tantalisingly tasty and inspiring recipes with nourishment at their core – from simple, super-quick meals through to more ambitious dishes that I hope will push you beyond your food comfort zones and encourage you to embrace something new.
There is something for everyone in the new book and I have tried hard to cover all bases in response to your many requests, as well as lending my experience from working with my clients over the years. You can expect an easy to follow, step-by-step guide for all cooking levels, one that will help you to fully embrace my 10 healthy principles, as detailed in the first book.
Yay! I confirm that Cook. Nourish. Glow. is available for buy :
