I’m delighted to be able to reveal the cover of my new book, Simply Good For You. It’s been a long time in the making, so it feels especially joyful to share. It was important to me that the cover hints at the simple, fresh, uplifting food that you’ll find inside. Which leads me to the second piece of exciting news – it’s available to pre-order from today.
Simply Good For You celebrates recipes with speed, simplicity and nourishment at their heart. Time, ease, cost: these are all considerations many of us make daily when choosing food to fuel our bodies. With a little knowledge, a meal bursting with goodness is easily within everyone’s grasp. Many of the recipes you’ll find in this book have become firm family favourites (that includes my almost 2 year old). I hope you’ll love them, too.
Simply Good For You is a collection of 100 unashamedly simple and nourishing recipes, from my family kitchen to yours.
You’ll find unctuous slow cooker recipes, one-pan meals (including three game-changing seasonal roasted salads), speedy and filling breakfasts, tasty packed-lunches, plant-based and vegetarian options, multiple ways to use leftovers, delicious ‘instant’ soups, quick and easy hero toppings, and some my favourite sweet things. You’ll also find weekend and special occasion dishes for those moments when we want to spend a little more time in the kitchen.
Never more so than now, the pressure to achieve nutritional and culinary perfection has added layers of additional stress to an otherwise simple pleasure – good, wholesome, home cooking. But while healthy eating may seem unduly complicated, I promise it doesn’t need to be.
