sweet inspiration
I absolutely advocate ‘a little of what you fancy’. Sweets and puddings do not need to be laden with sugar and there are so many healthier alternatives freely available nowadays. For me, the joy can be found in partnering flavours; citrus fruits, especially orange, blend beautifully with chocolate – see my Chocolate & Chia Orange Pudding. I often gently stew seasonal fruits and add depth with warming spices such as cinnamon and ginger. Nuts, too, are a brilliant partner to fruits and chocolate – see my Baked Apple with Almond Cream and Chocolate Covered Fruits and Nuts for an after supper treat. You’ll find festive inspiration here, too – see my Quick & Easy Gluten Free Mince Pies (always such a winner with guests).
